The mosaics show the time evolution of a 200-pixel (50") box centered on the discovery position. The format varies depending on the number of images covering that position, but the template image (usually from Nov 10-12, 1999, but in some cases from the same night as the discovery image) is always in the lower left, and time increases to the right, continiuing through the next row up, and so on. The discovery image is not always the first image after the template,. There is no useful position or time information in the headers. The files are 1 or 2 MB depending on whether the sequence was 5 or 10 images.

The finding charts are 3'x3' FITS images centered on the discovery position. The time in the header is the start of the exposure and the world coordinate system in the header is accurate to 0.5". The files are 2 MB.

Very important notes:

• The given RA and DEC may not be the center of the postage stamp if that location is too close to the edge of the original image. In the finding charts, use the WCS to zero in on the object position. In the mosaics, your eye usually registers the images automatically, but you may have to look hard.
• There are many duplicate objects. To help identify duplicates, note that a sequence of 5 or 10 images in nearly the same position contains many duplicates, while there should be none across sequences. The sequences are: obj034-obj038, obj039-043, obj046-obj055, obj070-074, and obj076-obj085 on the night of Dec. 11-12, obj143-7, obj149-53, and obj176-80 on Dec 12-13, and obj338-42, obj346-50, obj364-68, and obj370-378 on Dec 14-15.
• Classifications are based on morphology and motion. Your mileage may vary.
• Your browser may not bring up saoimage/ximtool automatically on the FITS file. Right-click on the link to save to local disk.
