The DLS is split into 45 "subfields", each of which contains at least 100,000 galaxies. Here we present 45 corresponding pieces of "cosmic wallpaper" to choose from. Click on an image to obtain the full-resolution version. Each file is 30-40 MB and 10k by 10k pixels (reduced here by 33x). You can't appreciate the incredible richness of these images until you click on one (and then click again to tell your browser to display it at full resolution). The images are presented here in standard astronomical orientation (north up, east left). There is some overlap between adjacent images.
